With a BFA from The University of Michigan, Ashley Schena has over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and art director with both nonprofit and commercial businesses in the Washington, DC area. She also is an avid nature photographer. By studying her photographs of plants, trees, birds and animals, she uses them as both inspiration and references in her pattern designs. Her style has been described as both a combination of whimsical and classical design featuring unique color combinations and stylized drawings of natural world elements.
